Goaltender’s are given a lot of freedom with their helmets to show off their personality and creativity. Few sports allow such expressions of individuality with their uniform rules that enforce, well, uniformity. This is especially true since MLB banned catchers from customizing hockey style masks a few years ago.

Ben Bishop has unveiled his Team USA mask for the World Cup of Hockey.

His mask should look pretty familiar to Tampa Bay Lightning fans. His past two masks in Tampa have had this Tron-esque look to it with “glowing” line work and includes glow in the dark paint. He’s gone back to that with a very similar look for Team USA. One nice little touch is the Tampa Bay Lightning logos in the background of the paint job. Personally, we like it and think that Team USA fans will enjoy it to as he attempts to lead them to Gold at the World Cup of Hockey!
